Mechanized Bridge (Zic Back Cable Car)

New Proposed Gondola for Kotre-Punditar Mechanized Bridge
Local Ropeway Technology (Mechanized Bridge)
It is a bicable bidirectional type of ropeway technology operates under motor power design and builds by the engineers of GRID Nepal using locally available materials. The system is installed as prototype for human transportation connecting Kotre, Tanahun and Punditar, Kaski over Seti River having 520m with 25m level difference. At that section, numerous efforts of bridge construction was in vain due to technical infeasibility. So ropeway technology for river crossing is the best at such long span. The technology is also economical considering construction as well as operation cost for the span greater than 350 meters.

Justification

With the tools so developed over the years and rationalization of different technology might not be suitable at every place of the country. The technology should be so well chosen that that ease the life of the people. According to the users of mechanized bridge, the technology is very beneficial for the people of Punditar. It costs about Rs. 50000-65000 per meter. In respect of construction period, it needs less time than that for trail bridge construction. As in Nepal, we have lots of such obstacles; we believe that replication of such project ease the pain of extra traveling.
